This week it has been reported that Microsoft plans to release an all new and singing version of Office for Mac later this year.
Perhaps a lot later this year.
Now to be fair to Microsoft, they are under going a huge amount of changes internally and their focus always been on the Windows platform rightfully so. But there are a lot of Mac users out there who either by choice or by requirement use Office for Mac and the now nearly 3 year old version is certainly showing its age.
So our question to you AlliOSNews readers is simple: Do you care?
Give us your vote and leave any comments on why you voted the way you did. Are you desperately waiting for those new features, including a richer Office 365 support? Or have you moved along and are now using Mail, Calendar and the iWork apps on your Mac for your office suite needs?

Tomorrow is the big day!
Starting tomorrow you can order your new iPad Air or go to your local Apple store or reseller and pick up it up. All indications are there will be plenty of stock so finding the one you want should not be overly difficult. Which leads to our poll of the day!
One of the big new features in iOS 7 is the App Auto Update feature. This allows iOS 7 to automatically download updates to apps that are installed on your iPhone or iPad without you having to go to the Updates section of the App Store on your phone or sync with iTunes to update apps.
The good news: You always have the latest app on your device.
The bad news: That feature you really like could go away with an update.
So tell us what you think AlliOSNews readers, do you use the feature? Do you like it? Give us your vote!
It has now been nearly 24 hours since Apple unleashed iOS 7 on the world. Through server timeouts and 4 hour update times, you’ve made it to having the shiny new mobile operating system from Cupertino on your iPhone or iPad.
So tell us here at AlliOSNews what you think? The truth is, some of us have had iOS 7 for months so yesterday was a bit of a fun day but not one full of surprises. We love blogging but sometimes it ruins the fun of the cool new things. We’ve said our piece about iOS 7 so what about you?
What Do You Think of iOS 7?
Give us your vote and tell us what you think of the latest offering from Apple and if you feel so compelled, leave us a comment below on why you feel that way.
Earlier this week Facebook announced that their photo social app/service Instagram will support uploading of 17 second videos from users. This is in direct competition to Vine, the Twitter owned service that offers the same thing.
Now I have to say, I’m one who never used Vine but I find I have already posted a few videos in Instagram… and I kinda like it.
So my question to you: Will you post more videos on Instagram now that it is supported? Cast your vote!

So here we are, just a few days shy of the two month mark of when the new iPad was released by Apple. Much of the fanfare has died down and Apple sold some 11.8 million iPads in the last quarter – up 158% over the same quarter a year ago. So there are plenty of the new iPad out there and I suspect many of you reading AlliOSNews already have on in your hot little hands.
So is it all that? The big features touted in the new iPad were the Retina display, improved processor and camera and LTE support here in the US (sorry Australia). But has it been everything you expected?
Let me hear your thoughts. Answer the poll below and leave a comment to let me know what you think. Next Monday, May 7th I will pick one winner who will receive a $20 iTunes Gift Card. To be eligible you must vote and leave a comment which includes your first name and/or Twitter handle so I can notify you if you win. Good Luck & thanks for voting!
Remember, to leave a comment you will need to click on the headline and go to the poll page!
[Update] – Congratulations to Trisha Stream! You won a $20 iTunes Gift Card for your vote!
As I was getting updates to apps in iTunes this morning, I took a glance down and notice that I have 560 apps in my iTunes Library. That got me to thinking: When did I get all of these apps? I don’t remember downloading that many apps. But I think that is really the point right? Developers – and Apple – want the buying experience so simple, so amazingly easy to do that you don’t remember dropping that .99 Cents here or there.
Clearly, in my case, it is effective.
So what about you? How many apps do you have in your iTunes library? A few dozen? Hundreds? Thousands?
