Microsoft has released Service Pack 2 (Update 14.2) for Office 2011 for Mac today.  The new update brings a long list of updates and improvements to the Office suite with most of the improvements improving support for SkyDrive and SharePoint documentation sharing and uploading.  There are also a long list of fixes/additions to the individual Office apps such as Outlook and Word.

The biggest improvement for Lion users of Office for Mac is the support for Lion’s full screen viewing so you can easily Office Updateswipe between the Office apps using Lion’s Full Screen App Swipes (default is 3 fingers on the Touchpad and swipe left or right).  As one who uses Office regularly for the “day job” this is a very welcome addition as it prevents having to open multiple desktops to go between the apps.

The Office 2011 for Mac Service Pack 2 is a free update and is healthy 110MB download and 387MB install.  You can get it by going to Help>Check for Updates in any Office app.
