Who’s Your Caddy Unveils Revolutionary New Golf Mobile Application
Who’s Your Caddy, a free, cutting edge golf mobile application, is about to change the way golfers, golf courses, and advertisers view mobile apps. Not just another golf app, this mobile app is the first of its kind. A win-win-win for all parties involved: golfers, golf courses, and advertisers.
Who’s Your Caddy, created by parent company Red Mat Media, will be available in early April on iTunes, and by May 1 for Androids. Three key features set this product apart from other golf apps. First, Who’s Your Caddy is a Free mobile app for
both the golfer and the golf courses.
“Other golf apps can charge the course to be on the app. With Who’s Your Caddy, not only does the course not pay a cent for the app, it can also make revenue from it with our revenue share program. We create partnerships with golf courses and users, no other golf app can say that,” said Timothy Lyon, CEO of the parent company of Who’s Your Caddy, Red Mat Media.
Secondly, Who’s Your Caddy serves up “Gimmes” to its golfers. Gimmes are free gifts from businesses in the golfer’s neighborhood, such as a gift certificate to a restaurant. Golfers will be alerted of their free Gimme via a text while they are using their WYC unit during golf.
EZ Capture Pro@golf swing 3.0 for iPad: Swing Capture/Analysis of Swing
i’m Apps today announces a major update to their Sports App, EZ Capture Pro@golf swing 3.0, that allows golfers to capture their swing automatically with Master/Slave Dual Camera support and instant playback in dual-view. It also supports multi-view analysis by using drawing tools provided and video export in slow motion. New features also include 3 kinds of Stop Capture options, Voice-Over commentary and Branding, which bring a whole new iPad experience to golfers on swing capture and analysis. Of all iOS golf apps, EZ Capture Pro@golf swing is the only app that exports the golfer’s swing in slow motion with analysis overlays, and it is the only app that offers Dual Camera support.
Golfers position the iPad on a tripod or stand at the desired position, and launching the app in landscape orientation automatically begins capture. Following the swing, the app stops capture using either impact sound detection and image
analysis, sound detection alone, or manual control. The app will intelligently delete unnecessary video and immediately play back the perfectly trimmed video clip in real time. Automatic capture begins again, and the same process repeats itself, producing perfect video clips of individual golf swings without any extraneous video before or after.
Golfers can draw lines, circles, and rectangles of various colors over the swing video, which can be deleted at any time. When analyzing swings, these guides can be invaluable. For example, a golfer could draw a red circle around his head to observe easily his head position throughout the swing. With these overlays, golfers can easily discover the strengths and weaknesses in their swing.
After drawing, video can be exported to the Camera Roll in slow motion, as an individual frame, or a slow motion video with overlay. The app accommodates golf professionals who may want to add voice-over instruction and a graphic logo to the video.

MLB At Bat Released as Universal App for iPhone and iPad
As expected, Major League Baseball as released the MLB At Bat app in the App Store this morning. This year the app is a universal build so you download it one time and it works on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. The app itself is free this year unlike the last two years where you had to pay $14.99 for the iPhone and a separate $14.99 for the iPad version. This is a huge savings already for baseball fans.
The app now supports in-app subscriptions and MLB has provided two ways to subscribe in addition to the MLB.tv subscriptions (which give you
live streaming video of every game – so long as you are not in the blackout area). The first is a $2.99 monthly subscription and the other is $14.99 for the entire season. If you are new to the app and are not sure if it is right for you, subscribe to the monthly one to try it out during Spring Training. If however you do not want to subscribe, you will have access to the Lite version of the app (the free version you downloaded).
There are some big advantages to doing either the monthly or season long subscription in MLB At Bat. With the Lite version you will only have access to scores from the games throughout the league. With a subscription you get scores plus:
Game Day: A screen that gives you the match ups and games for that day throughout the league
Audio: Stream the game broadcast – visitor or home – for every game throughout the season
In-Game Highlights: Get highlights from key plays while the game is still in progress
Live Game of The Day: Watch the MLB’s Game of The Day (subject to blackout of course) as it streams directly to your iPhone or iPad
MLB has released At Bat just a few days before the start of Spring Training games which should give everyone plenty of time to download it and check it out. During Spring Training MLB will be streaming many games so you can really give it a good try out before the season gets underway.
I will have a review of MLB At Bat posted here on AlliOSNews in the coming days.
MLB At Bat is free and is a universal app that is available today in the App Store
